The Principles of the ECM Quality Mark
Working towards achievement of the ECM Quality Mark, together with its supporting programmes and strategies, is designed to ensure that all young people are given appropriate opportunities to grow and thrive through the experiences to which they have access during their school years.
The ECM Quality Mark Framework is designed to enable schools and their partners to look at their practice and enhance provision to ensure all pupils receive their entitlement.
All children learn differently and at their own pace. The ECM Quality Mark Framework is designed to help schools to recognise this and to take appropriate actions in order to strategically and systematically support all learners.
The ECM Quality Mark is appropriate for all schools but takes account of the different contexts in which they operate.
The ECM Quality Mark includes multi agency working and the specific issues related to "at risk" children. However, this Quality Mark is primarily about all children and ensuring that they can each flourish and grow within their school experience, offering them the opportunity to reach their potential.
